Started in 1888 by Charles Walker as the Ontario Dyeing Company, our buildings spent decades as working mills — spinning, dyeing, and bleaching yarn, then later making horse blankets — before sitting quiet. We’re not erasing that history. We’re preserving what can’t be recreated (the brick, the timber, the scale) and modernizing what needs to work today, so the next generation of Philadelphia’s artists and makers has somewhere real to build.
